Hello, family and friends!

Thank you for taking the time to celebrate with us this November. We can’t wait to see everyone in Cartagena!

It feels fitting that this is where we’ll be getting married—the country of the bride and the last name of the groom. While many of you know parts of our story, not everyone knows how it all began.

We first met in high school and started our friendship in the most 2013 way possible: Snapchat.

After weeks (and then months) of snapping and texting back and forth, JC finally worked up the courage to ask Angelica to be his date to his annual track banquet. JC remembers Angelica being incredibly quiet and shy during those first few dates.

He was completely fooled.

Not long after, we went to prom together—even though Angelica wasn’t exactly a fan of JC’s long hair at the time.

After high school, we attended different colleges in different cities. While the distance wasn’t always easy, it made the time we spent together even more meaningful and helped us grow both as individuals and as a couple.

Over the years, we’ve adopted two puppies, traveled to several countries, celebrated countless milestones, and built a life together filled with joy.

Now, many years after that first date, we get to return to one of our favorite places we’ve visited together and begin our next chapter as husband and wife.

It’s funny to think back to those first conversations and realize we had no idea where they would lead. Angelica used to joke that she would marry JC for his last name.

Well… the joke’s on her.

It’s actually happening.
